GPS Roles and Responsibilities
- Operates the Global Differential GPS System (GDGPS).
- Operates the Central Bureau and numerous reference stations of the International GNSS Service.
- Sponsors the National Space-Based PNT Advisory Board on behalf of the National Executive Committee.
- Develops new technology for spaceborne uses of GPS and advocates for the GPS Space Service Volume.
- Applies GPS to a broad variety of governmental activities, including spacecraft navigation.
